What is insulating glass?
Insulating glass is composed of two or more pieces of glass, which are separated by hollow aluminum tubes filled with high molecular sieve adsorbents and desiccants. At the same time, the isolated hollow part is filled with dry air or inert gas, and sealed with butyl rubber, polysulfide rubber or silicone structural adhesive to form a dry space of glass. Usually, low emissivity glass can be used in combination with clear glass, float glass, tempered glass, etc. to produce high-performance insulating glass, which not only prevents the oxidation reaction of the metal film, but also further improves its usability and performance.
-
Production process:
Using physical methods, place two or more pieces of glass parallel to each other at a certain distance, add insulating aluminum strips around the separated space, then fill the separated space with inert gas, and finally seal the four sides of the glass with sealant.

Features
1. Thermal insulation and energy efficiency: The thermal conductivity of the air layer between glass is 27 times that of air, which is lower than that of a single piece of glass. The heat exchange capacity is reduced by one-third compared to a single piece of glass, and there is a significant energy-saving effect. It can effectively reduce the heat transfer coefficient U value.
2. Anti condensation effect: Hollow glass has good insulation performance, and the temperature difference between the inner and outer layers of glass is relatively large. Generally, the temperature of the inner layer of glass can be ensured to be above the dew point, while the temperature of the outer layer of glass is low, but the air in the interlayer is dry and will not be exposed.
3. Sound insulation performance: Generally, insulated glass can reduce noise by about 30 decibels, and when filled with inert gas, the insulated glass can further reduce noise by 5 decibels on the original basis, which can reduce traffic noise from 80 decibels to an extremely quiet level of 45 decibels.
4. Wind resistance strength: The wind resistance strength of insulated glass is 1.5 times that of ordinary single piece glass.
5. Transparency performance: Depending on the different properties of the composite insulating glass original sheet, the visible light transmittance range is generally 10-80%, and the reflectivity range is 13-35%. The transparency performance is usually set and produced according to needs.
