What is low emissivity glass?
Low radiation coated glass (also known as Low-E glass) is a type of glass that is coated with multiple layers of low radiation metal films (silver or other alloys, tin dioxide SnO2 anti reflective coating, nickel chromium alloy NiCr metal isolation coating) and metal compound films on its surface using vacuum magnetron sputtering coating equipment. Due to the high transmittance of low radiation metal film to visible light and high reflectivity to infrared (especially central infrared), Low-E glass has good thermal insulation performance, balancing high visible light transmittance and low solar transmittance, so it is also called thermal insulation glass.

Features
The visible light wavelength range of 380nm to 780nm has high transmittance, which does not cause serious anti glare pollution due to the high reflectivity of glass to visible light.
Optional visible light transmittance: The visible light transmittance can reach over 80%, with sufficient natural lighting and a bright and comfortable indoor environment, which can effectively reduce lighting expenses and energy consumption.
Low visible light reflectivity: A lower visible light reflectivity can reduce glare emitted by buildings, protect eyes, and avoid urban light pollution.
Two pairs of infrared light have high reflectivity (wavelength 780~3000nm), especially for long wavelength infrared (wavelength above 3000nm), almost total reflection, blocking a large number of heat sources from entering.
3. UV protection: Reduce the transmission of ultraviolet rays appropriately to prevent furniture and fabrics from fading. (Ultraviolet transmittance: refers to the percentage of ultraviolet radiation absorbed and reflected on an object without passing through, and its value is generally less than 0.1)
Effectively control solar radiation and reduce the entry of some solar radiation into indoor environments.
The emissivity of Low-E double-layer glass is 0.02~0.11, while the emissivity of uncoated glass is generally 0.84.
4. Insulation: In winter, reflecting the far-infrared thermal radiation emitted by indoor heating and indoor objects back into the room can reduce the loss of indoor energy at night, effectively improve heating efficiency, and save heating costs.
5. Thermal insulation: In summer, it prevents the far-infrared thermal radiation emitted by outdoor solar energy, ground, and buildings from entering the indoor environment, maintaining a cooler indoor environment and effectively saving air conditioning and cooling costs.
